Okay, success! It's a huge pain in the ass to install, but XOutput ( ) will let you do splitscreen in blood fresh supply with keyboard/mouse controlling player one and one single physical controller doing player 2.the process is thus:1) install xoutput. Good luck, it's absurdly user-unfriendly. This effort is the price you are paying instead of buying a second controller.2) without your real controller plugged in, open xoutput and hit 'start' next to the keyboard device. This creates a virtual xinput pad that is in theory controlled by your keyboard, but because you have not configured any keybinds for it it will just take up the first controller slot, which is all we really need it to do.3) plug in your real controller.
This is not the last step, unfortunately.4) configure your real controller in xoutput, binding all its buttons and axes to what they should be. Xoutput will not let it just pass through because it hates you.5) hit start in xoutput next to your real controller, and it should say it started as controller #2. Now you are all set, probably.
(you do not actually need vjoy for any of this, fortunately.). Blorgx3: okay, success! My ps3 controller won't show up for whatever reason. I have the ScpDrivers installed and it works fine as a player 1 input in game.
